What is Phishing and Impersonation
?

Phishing and impersonation are deceptive tactics used by cybercriminals to trick individuals into divulging sensitive information such as passwords, usernames, and financial details. These attacks often involve the impersonation of trusted entities, such as colleagues, superiors, or reputable organizations, to manipulate victims into taking actions that can compromise security.

How to avoid:

  • Check the Sender’s Email Address and be cautious of unexpected emails.
  • Pay extra attention to the Links in the email.
  • Verify Requests for Sensitive Information and Never enter personal information unless you’re sure you’re on a legitimate website.
  • Do not download attachments from any suspicious email.
  • Think before you click and take close look at the email body.
  • Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on your accounts whenever possible.

Always report any suspected phishing attempt to the relevant authorities and contact the real entity.
